Allstate Commercial Driver Training provides quality, hands-on commercial driver training for those looking to advance their current driving skill set or start a future in the commercial transportation industry. We offer high-quality professional commercial driver training courses in the following areas:

CDL A Training

Learn how to properly operate any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 lbs. or more, as long as the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle(s) being towed is more than 10,000 lbs. As an owner of a Class A license, you are permitted to operate all vehicles within classes B & C.

During your Class A training, you will operate 8 and 10 speed tractor trailers to prepare you for entry-level local, regional, and over-road CDL A and local CDL B positions. Students receive hands-on, one-on-one training in:

  • Vehicle orientation
  • Pre-trip check out
  • Brake control
  • Straight driving
  • Straight backing
  • Parallel parking
  • Clutch control
  • Alley – dock parking

CDL B Training

Learn how to properly operate any single vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 26,001 lbs. or more, or any such vehicle(s) towing a vehicle less than 10,000 lbs. As an owner of a Class B license, you are permitted to operate (with any appropriate endorsements and/or permits) all vehicles within class C.

During your Class B training, you will operate a 6-speed, 24-foot box truck to prepare you for local and regional entry-level CDL B positions. Students will receive hands-on, one-on-one training in:

  • Vehicle orientation
  • Pre-trip check out
  • Brake control
  • Straight driving
  • Straight backing
  • Parallel parking
  • Clutch control

CDL B with Passenger Endorsement

Graduates of Allstate Commercial Driver Training's CDL B with Passenger Endorsement program will be qualified to receive the training to operate a single vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 26,001 or more pounds or any vehicle towing a vehicle not in excess of 10,000 pounds GVWR. Students will be trained to operate a taxi, delivery vehicle, service bus, motor bus or motor coach.

The full CDL Passenger Endorsement training program can be completed in as little as 3 weeks, and topics covered in the class include:

Forklift – Basic/Advanced Training

Learn how to safely and properly carry, push, pull, lift, stack or tier materials using a powered industrial forklift. With fewer companies willing to take any chances of having uncertified operators in their workplace, Allstate Commercial Driver Training can help certify you as a licensed forklift operator. In the class, you can gain practical and theoretical hands-on training as you meet the basic operational and safety requirements for certification under the Occupational Health and Safety Administration's (OSHA's) standards.

Students will receive hands-on and classroom forklift training in areas such as:

  • Picking up, traveling, placement
  • Pre-operational inspection
  • Basic maneuvering
  • Loading and unloading
  • Hazardous materials
